Auburn Auto Machine started in 1985 by Clark Geffe who had been in the industry for thirty years. He decided it was time to start a small personable machine shop that could tailor engines and machine work to a customer's needs instead of building production engines.

In 1987 Clark hired his first employee, Mike McCandless, at the age of 17 to help with the growing business. The next key employee was Dallas Mace, hired in 1995, at the age of 18. Clark trained his young employees to take pride in thier work. He knew this would turn out better quality engines for the customers.

In 2000 Clark sold the business to Mike who he had trained for the past 13 years. Mike updated the shop with some new machines and rethought the layout to make it more efficient. Also in 2000 Shaun Gove was hired at the age of 19 and trained by the principles on which the shop was founded. Adding Sean Pearce in 2004 has balanced the workload for the shop to meet the daily needs of the customers.

Today Auburn Auto Machine LLC still has that small shop heart and committment to a well built engine and custom machine work. Whether you need an engine for your daily driver or a custom street rod, we will build an engine to suit your needs with the same attention to detail and quality that our customers have come to depend on.
